What kind of laptop should I get?

Question by godsrepresentative: What kind of laptop should I get?
I an going to be getting a laptop. My budget is $ 400-$ 800

I am not too familiar with processors, therefore some help on specs would be nice.

I will be using the laptop for general use like browsing, chatting, and typing. I also work with audio software like FL-Studio and I do photo and video editing every now and then on Adobe Photoshop and Premiere.

Some features I’d like:
Firewire Port
Built-In Webcam/Microphone
Sleek Design (Not like a plain silver matte look)

If you know of any laptops like that in stores like Wal-Mart, Circuit City, Best Buy, or Office Depot, then I wouldn’t mind knowing, but mainly right now I’m concerned about figured out more about processors and frontside bus (cache).

Hi there,

I’ve used many laptops for school and by far, the best Ive ever come across for the money is HP laptops. Apple has some sleep ones but theyre nearly twice the price.

Go with HP.

Laptop cards, desktop cards, memory cards, I’m confused too. Cameras use SD cards, CF cards, and others similar more or less to those sizes. Desktop cards are expansion modules and I see no way they could fit the smaller camera. As far as I know, laptops do not use cards. Everything is soldered on the motherboard except for memory modules which go into slots. Generally speaking all cards with a person is special together with the Ace. Firewire? I thought that uses a cable.
